What We Do? Empower
Sewing Program
Empowering 30 women weekly (100 total to date in 2024) through skills development, this program offers training, support, and a nurturing community for those interested in honing their sewing skills. Participants are encouraged to create and market their products, fostering entrepreneurship and economic independence. As of fall 2026, the sewing program is now a part of License to Freedom.
Welcoming Newcomers
What does a refugee need the most after arriving?
Food, clothing, access to government resources, housing, a job? YES. And so much more. While BBN does not directly provide many of the above resources, we are a friendly face and listening ear to help people access and connect with the resources they need most.

If you have skills to share and want to welcome refugees and assist them in integrating into US society, please volunteer with us. Your support in teaching, mentoring, or other ways can make a significant impact. The only thing we need to start a new program with your skills is YOU!
