Bridge Builders Network is a faith-based network of individuals, churches, and non-profits, rooted in relationship with Christ, who seek to build bridges of friendship and understanding among Muslims and Christians through service, education, and prayer.

Over half of the world’s population today identify as being either Christian or Muslim. The long history between those who call themselves Christians and those who call themselves Muslims reveal both times of conflict and war and also times of living together in peace and mutual respect. Unfortunately today, misunderstandings and hostility still exist between some who identify themselves within these two faith traditions.

We have opportunity and obligation to change this destructive pattern of mistrust and hostility and to model the best practices of our faiths to each other and to the rest of the world. Together we must face and overcome our fears and prejudices.

We seek to do this by intentionally loving our Christian and Muslim neighbors, especially those who have been forced from their homes and have come to San Diego as refugees or asylum-seekers. Our programs are designed to build relationships and meet practical needs while also being culturally-diverse and trauma-informed.

Our mission is to promote bridge building efforts through education and service at the intersection of culture and faith.

“You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.”

-Matthew 5:9 Message

ARTICLES & LINKS

Here is an article written by a Muslim with a similar mission, quoting the Quran as well as the words of Jesus. He is also suggesting that Muslims and Christians in America have an opportunity to lead the way in modeling building bridges of friendship and understanding. Mr. Kaskis is the co-author of a Quran with 3000 references found in the Bible.
