We are advocates for local Muslim refugee family integration, not competing with, but partnering with existing faith-based communities, local organizations, and governmental agency service providers.

Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone--especially to those in the family of faith. Galatians 6:10

Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them. If you can help your neighbor now, don’t say, “Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you.” Proverbs 3:27 & 28

We began reaching out to Syrian refugees in the summer of 2016, when large numbers were being resettled in San Diego and El Cajon. We hosted a welcome picnic that summer and a Christmas celebration in December. Watch a local television channel’s report on our Christmas event

AFTER SCHOOL HOMEWORK CLUB - fall 2019

We are currently running a trauma informed after school homework club in a large apartment complex where many Syrian families live. The kids are struggling in school and much of their struggle relates to their past trauma interferring with them being able to learn English well enough to understand the teacher in their school classroom or read the assignments. And their parents are not able to help in most cases. Your support helps us continue with this program, including training volunteers and paying associated expenses.
